Our Doctors

Dr David Going
(M B, Ch B, Dip Ger Med, FRNZCGP) Principle GP
 

Not taking on new patients currently.

David is the principal GP at Peninsula Medical and is also the owner of the practice. He has considerable experience as a GP having practiced in Te Atatu Peninsula since 1983. He has special interests in family medicine, men’s health, geriatric medicine and the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialty. David also is the doctor caring for residents of CHT St Margarets hospital in Te Atatu Peninsula, which he has done for the best part of 30 years.

Dr Justine Mesui 
(M. B., Ch B., FRNZCGP)

Justine has been with Peninsula Medical for over 10 years and is experienced in General Practice enjoying seeing a wide range of families. In addition to her work at Peninsula Medical Centre, she has worked for some years in school-based clinics and Paediatric Hospitals further developing her special interest in Youth Health.

 

Regular Hours: Mon (pm – late night), Tues (am & pm), Thurs (pm), Fri (am & pm)


Dr Carolynn Moore 
(M.B. Ch.B., Dip. Paediatrics, FRNZCGP)

 

Not taking on new patients currently.

With a Diploma in Paediatrics, Carolynn has many years of GP experience and is skilled in all areas of general practice. She enjoys healthcare for the whole family and has developed a further interest in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Dr Richard Busfield

(MB ChB, FRNZCGP)

 

Richard is a very experienced GP having worked for nearly 20 years in General Practice in Auckland. Richard also has extensive experience in all areas of women’s health having worked for some years with one of New Zealand’s top gynaecology Professors. In his cheerful way you will find Richard to be thorough and considerate. He has a great love of sport, in particular football.

Dr Alita Neria
(MB ChB, FRNZCGP)

 

We are thrilled to have Dr Alita Neria return to Peninsula Medical, she previously practiced here as a GP Registrar. Of Samoan and NZ European descent, Alita has been practicing medicine for over 10 years. She holds BHB, MB ChB from the University of Auckland and is a Fellow of RNZCGP. Alita has special medical interests in Diabetes, Adolescent Health and Older People's Health, and is a visiting GP at local High Schools in West Auckland.

Dr Andrea Thomas
(MB ChB)

 

Dr Andrea Thomas is taking over the care of Dr Lara Cubison's patients.

We are delighted to have Andrea join the team at Peninsula Medical. She grew up in Auckland and completed her education and Medical training here too. Andrea has experience both in the hospitals as well as General Practice. She has spent 5 years working in the Paediatrics speciality, so brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area. Andrea is warm, welcoming and an excellent communicator. Andrea is working towards her GP fellowship.

Dr Shelley Yip
(MB ChB)

 

We are thrilled to welcome Dr Shelley Yip to the team at Peninsula Medical Centre. 

Shelley graduated from University of Auckland in 2002.  She has an interest in general medicine and sub specialities of adult medicine during her training in hospitals in Auckland.  She was involved medical research in diabetes and bariatric surgery for several years before her career in general practice.  She has also worked for urgent care medical clinics.  She is working towards fellowship with the GP college.

 

She has three active boys, and enjoys taking them to outdoor adventures. She can speak Mandarin and Cantonese.

Dr Gaurav Sharma

(MB ChB)

 

We are pleased to welcome Dr Gaurav Sharma as a long term Locum at Peninsula Medical Centre until late 2019. Gaurav is passionate about the health of Kiwis and enjoys working with all patients. Gaurav is working towards his GP fellowship, and are thrilled to have his friendly and cheerful self on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays each week. Gaurav is working towards his GP fellowship.
