Our Doctors

Dr David Going
(M B, Ch B, Dip Ger Med, FRNZCGP) Principle GP
 

Not taking on new patients currently.

David is the principal GP at Peninsula Medical and is also the owner of the practice. He has considerable experience as a GP having practiced in Te Atatu Peninsula since 1983. He has special interests in family medicine, men’s health, geriatric medicine and the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) specialty.

 

Regular Hours: Mon (am & pm), Wed (am), Thurs (pm – late night)


Dr Justine Mesui 
(M. B., Ch B., FRNZCGP)

Justine has been with Peninsula Medical for over 10 years and is experienced in General Practice enjoying seeing a wide range of families. In addition to her work at Peninsula Medical Centre, she has worked for some years in school-based clinics and Paediatric Hospitals further developing her special interest in Youth Health.

 

Regular Hours: Mon (pm – late night), Tues (am & pm), Thurs (pm), Fri (am & pm)


Dr Carolynn Moore 
(M.B. Ch.B., Dip. Paed)
 

Not taking on new patients currently.

With a Diploma in Paediatrics, Carolynn has many years of GP experience and is skilled in all areas of general practice. She enjoys healthcare for the whole family and has developed a further interest in alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Dr John Zhang
(MB, FRNZCGP)
 

Originally trained in Tianjin, China in 1990 John has since re-trained in New Zealand in 2002. He is bilingual, speaking both English and Chinese (Mandarin) fluently. He has a special professional interest in minor surgery, cardiology, as well as family medicine.

Dr Edward Watson 

(MB ChB, FRNZCGP)

 

A very experienced New Zealand GP, with additional qualifications in Women’s Health. He has an interest in the whole family and a special interest in skin cancer and its treatments. He also has an interest in clinical research and the development of new medicines.

Dr Richard Busfield

(MB ChB, FRNZCGP)

 

Richard is a very experienced GP having worked for 17 years in General Practice in Auckland. Richard also has extensive experience in all areas of women’s health having worked for some years with one of New Zealand’s top gynaecology Professors. In his cheerful way you will find Richard to be thorough and considerate. He has a great love of sport, in particular football.

Dr Joy Liao 

(MB BS, RACGP, RNZCGP)

 

Joy grew up in NZ, and completed her training in Australia. She has a diploma in child health, post graduate certificate in mental health, and certificate in family training and sexual health. She is particularly interested in children's heath, women's health and aged care. Joy has a constant love of learning as well as travel. You will find Joy warm, caring and joyful in nature. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
