Clinical Trials

Research, Care and Innovation for Our Community

At Peninsula Medical Centre, caring for our community has always been at the heart of what we do. We're proud to partner with Aotearoa Clinical Trials (ACTT) to offer eligible patients the opportunity to participate in clinical research, right here in a healthcare setting they already know and trust. For more than 20 years, ACTT has helped connect New Zealanders with clinical research opportunities, bringing world-class studies closer to the communities they serve.

Why Take Part in a Clinical Trial?

Clinical research plays an important role in improving healthcare for future generations. By making clinical trials available locally, we're helping members of our community access opportunities that may not otherwise be available, while contributing to medical advances that could benefit people across Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.

Depending on the study, participation may offer:

  • Access to new medicines or treatments before they become widely available
  • Additional health assessments and monitoring from a dedicated research team
  • Support from healthcare professionals working alongside your regular GP and healthcare providers
  • Greater insight into your health and treatment options
  • The opportunity to contribute to medical advances that may improve healthcare for others in our community and across Aotearoa New Zealand

Every clinical trial is different, and participation is always voluntary. If you may be eligible for a study, our team will take the time to explain what is involved, answer your questions, and support you in making the decision that's right for you.

Care You Know and Trust

Through our partnership with ACTT, eligible patients can access clinical trial opportunities within the trusted environment of Peninsula Medical Centre.
Together, we're making it easier for our community to contribute to healthcare innovation and research excellence.
